Journey Overview
Icon Safari is a nine-night journey through three of Southern Africa's most celebrated wilderness regions: the Okavango Delta, the Zambezi River at Victoria Falls and Lower Zambezi National Park.
Stay at three of African Bush Camps' most luxurious properties, travelling between them by helicopter, light aircraft and private road transfer.
Each destination brings a different character to the journey, from the waterways of Botswana to the power of Victoria Falls and the wildlife-rich banks of the Lower Zambezi.
Day by Day
Day 1
Your journey begins at Maun Airport in Botswana. A representative will welcome you and assist with your scheduled helicopter transfer to Atzaró Okavango Camp. After settling into your luxury suite, begin your safari with an afternoon activity in the Delta.
Days 2–3
Spend two full days exploring one of the world’s most remarkable wetland wildernesses. Experiences may include game drives, guided walking safaris, night drives, mokoro excursions and birdwatching, depending on water levels and local conditions.
Day 4
Leave Atzaró by scheduled helicopter and continue by light aircraft to Kasane. From Kasane, travel by road across the border into Zambia and on to Thorntree River Lodge in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
Days 5–6
Enjoy two full days beside the Zambezi River. Activities may include a guided visit to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, river cruises, game drives, cultural visits, canoeing, birdwatching and rhino tracking, subject to availability and local conditions.
Day 7
Transfer by road to Livingstone’s Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport for your scheduled light-aircraft flight to Jeki Airstrip. On arrival, continue by game-drive transfer through Lower Zambezi National Park to Lolebezi.
Days 8–9
Discover the wildlife-rich landscapes of Lower Zambezi National Park. Your time may include game drives, walking safaris, river cruises, canoeing, fishing and exceptional wildlife viewing beside the Zambezi River.
Day 10
After breakfast, travel by game-drive transfer to Jeki Airstrip. Board your scheduled flight to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka, where your Icon Safari comes to an end.
