Beginning in Athens, the route heads towards Delphi and the Parnassus Mountains before pushing deeper into Evrytania — a spectacular region sometimes described as the Switzerland of Greece.
From remote 4WD trails and river crossings, the journey reaches the immense rock formations and monasteries of Meteora before continuing to the Pelion Peninsula and the clear waters of the Aegean.

8-Day Itinerary
Athens, the mountains and the Aegean.
Day 1
Athens, Delphi & Arachova
Arrive in Athens, meet the local team and collect the fully-equipped 4WD vehicles. Head towards Delphi before climbing the Helicon ridge for views towards the Parnassus Mountains and continuing to Arachova.
Day 2
Delphi, Lake Morenos & Ano Chora
Explore Delphi and the ancient seat of the Oracle before travelling through the spectacular Valley of the Million Olives towards Lake Morenos and the mountain town of Ano Chora.
Day 3
Into Evrytania
Drive towards Karpenisi through one of Greece's most beautiful mountain regions, passing remote villages, crossing rivers and climbing through intensely green alpine landscapes.
Day 4
The Switzerland of Greece
Explore the wild landscapes around Karpenisi, visit Proussos Monastery on its dramatic rock ledge and hike through the Panta Vrechei gorge before travelling among the villages and mountains of Evrytania.
Day 5
Karpenisi to Meteora
Leave Karpenisi and head off-road through a dramatic river gorge, tackling steep dirt roads, river crossings and remote villages rarely visited by travellers.
Climb towards the Agrafa ridge before descending into the fertile plains of Thessaly and arriving at Meteora, where immense stone pillars rise dramatically from the landscape.
Day 6
Meteora to the Pelion Peninsula
Explore Meteora and its extraordinary monasteries, built high above the surrounding landscape on enormous rock formations. Take to the trail for a hike through this remarkable setting before returning to the vehicles.
Continue towards the Pelion Peninsula, following dirt roads through changing landscapes before reaching the Aegean coast. Stop beside the sea for a swim before continuing to the coastal towns of Pelion.
Day 7
Pelion Peninsula to Athens
Spend the morning exploring the beautiful beaches and coastal landscapes of Pelion before beginning the journey back towards Athens.
Arrive in the capital for an afternoon exploring the city, followed by a final dinner together to celebrate the journey.
Day 8
Athens & Departure
Enjoy a relaxed final morning in Athens with time for some last-minute exploring or shopping before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
