8-Day Itinerary

The Dinaric Alps to Kotor Bay

Day 1

Tivat to Žabljak

Arrive in Tivat, collect the 4WD vehicles and head north into the mountains, stopping near Piva Lake before continuing to Žabljak.

Day 2

Durmitor & Black Lake

Hike around Black Lake before heading deeper into Durmitor, crossing the Sušica Canyon and some of the most spectacular mountain roads in the Balkans.

Day 3

Tara Canyon & Kolašin

Cross the Sinjavina Range before an action-packed experience in Tara Canyon, combining rafting and ziplining, then continue to Kolašin.

Day 4

Biogradska Gora

Explore the Bjelasica Mountains and travel off-road to high summer pastures, with lunch at a traditional katun shepherd settlement.

Day 5

Komovi Ridge & Albanian Border

Head east towards the borderlands with Kosovo and Albania, travelling along remote dirt tracks across the Komovi Ridge. Enjoy wide mountain views, a picnic in nature and time in Andrijevica before returning to Kolašin.

Day 6

Skadar Lake & the Adriatic Coast

Follow the Morača River south towards Skadar Lake, then take to the water for a local boat journey before continuing to the Adriatic coast and Budva.

Day 7

Bay of Kotor

Explore the spectacular Bay of Kotor by road and boat, visiting Our Lady of the Rocks, Perast and the old city of Kotor before returning to Budva.

Day 8

Departure

Enjoy a final morning on the coast before transferring to the airport for your journey home.
