Uganda brings together an extraordinary range of wildlife and landscapes in one compact journey.
The route moves from the source of the Nile and Murchison Falls into chimpanzee country at Kibale, then south through Queen Elizabeth National Park towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The defining experience is the mountain gorilla trek, but the journey also includes river wildlife, crater lakes, savannah, tea-growing landscapes and a final stay around Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo.

11-Day Itinerary
Entebbe to Bwindi and beyond
Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe and settle into the journey with time to relax before visiting the Botanical Gardens.
Day 2
Jinja & the Source of the Nile
Travel to Jinja on the shores of Lake Victoria and take to the water to explore the source of the White Nile.
Days 3–4
Murchison Falls National Park
Head north into Uganda's largest national park for safari drives and a boat journey on the Nile, watching for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, crocodiles and hippos.
Day 5
Murchison Falls to Kibale
Travel south through tea and coffee country via Fort Portal, arriving in the Kibale Forest area by late afternoon.
Day 6
Chimpanzees & Queen Elizabeth National Park
Trek through Kibale Forest in search of chimpanzees before continuing south past crater lakes towards Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 7
Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel
Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park beneath the Rwenzori Mountains before taking a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, renowned for its extraordinary concentration of hippos, water birds and wildlife gathering along the banks.
Day 8
Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi
Begin with another safari through Queen Elizabeth National Park, watching for wildlife among its savannah, wetlands, crater lakes and forested areas.
Continue southwest through open countryside and banana plantations towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of Africa's great rainforests and the setting for tomorrow's remarkable encounter.
Day 9
Mountain Gorillas & Lake Bunyonyi
Rise early and enter Bwindi with experienced trackers and rangers. Trek through dense jungle and extraordinary vegetation in search of the mountain gorillas that inhabit this remarkable forest.
After one of Africa's most memorable wildlife experiences, continue to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi area for the night.
Day 10
Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo
Travel onwards to Lake Mburo National Park, a smaller reserve rich in birdlife and home to wildlife including zebra, impala and giraffe.
In the afternoon, take a boat journey on the lake and experience another side of Uganda's diverse wildlife.
Day 11
Lake Mburo, Kampala & Departure
On the final day, leave Lake Mburo and travel towards Kampala and Entebbe. Visit a local school and browse for souvenirs before continuing to Entebbe Airport for your journey home.
